How to Block Adult Website on your Computer

If your kid use internet and you are worried about what he is watching There is a very simple way through which you can block adult website on your computer, mobile or any other device that use same network. So how to block such websites?

With lots of explicit content and advertisements on internet chances are very high that you kid might get exposed to adult content. If this is the case with you then you can use open DNS to block such websites. Though, there are many other ways but this one is very easy and you don't need to be a geek for doing this.

Use Family Shield

No, this is not a software. Family shied is one of the open DNS service. Just foloow the following steps to use family shield.

Step 1- Go to network and sharing center. Its on the Lower right hand side (quick launch iccon) in windows. Just right click on the network icon to open network and sharing center.

Step 2 - Click on Ethernet then a new tab will open.

Step 3 - In new tab click on properties. Then a new tab will open.

Step 4 - Click on Internet Protocol Version 4 from the menu. Then click on properties. A new tab will open.

Step 5 - In theis new tab click on use the following dns server address and here enter 

208-67-222-123 in proffered DNS server and 208-67-220-123 in alternate DNS server.

Whenever someone will try to open an adult website he will be redirected to open dns website. Thats all you are done now its nearly impossible for any one to open such content on your computer, mobile(that use same network ).
